Hello. I grew up in central Texas. I currently reside in Portland, Oregon. What I can do best is help your child or parent find the words to name and describe their lived experience, and then connect that experience to creating and becoming the person they want to be. Smart kids who can’t read but want to be the expert in the room? I’ve got you. Aging parent living with undiagnosed AuDHD because they clam up and say everythings fine every time they talk with a medical professional, I’ll help them find and remeber the right words and phrases to self-advocate. As an elementary educator with 20 years of classroom and systemic advocacy expereince, and as a child of high-functioning neurodivergent parents, I have found that loving kindness, determination, and intentional scheduling can create pathways for learning. Many of the people I help have avoidance issues. Kids who cannot read because they avoid reading, elderly who cannot physicially care for themselves but who do not qualify for disability because they lack the ability to advocate. I am not a therapist, but rather an educator, so I tend to help caregivers whose children or elderly parents need another person to structure and help them transition.
